形態特徵

• Rhizome short, densely tufted. Culms 30-80 cm tall, trigonous.
• Leaves rather many, 2-5 mm wide; sheaths stained with dark brown or purple-brown. Spikes 3 to 7, upper ones approximate, lower 2 or 3 spaced.
• Terminal spike staminate, linear, 4-10 cm long, ca. 2.5 mm wide, purple-brown. Lateral spikes pistillate or androgynous, cylindrical or linear, 3-7 cm long, 4-6 mm wide, subloosely many-flowered, erect with rather short peduncle. Bracts with brown-stained sheath, lowest with a leafy blade.
• Pistillate glumes ovate to oblong, acute at apex, light brown to purplish brown, ciliate on upper margins, pale costa forming a mucro at glume apex. Utricles surpassing glume, suberect, oblong to lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, compressed, trigonous, finely many-veined, hirsute or pubescent; beak short, 2-cleft. Achenes rather tightly enveloped, elliptic to oblong, trigonous, 2.5-3 mm long, contracted at both ends, stipitate at base; style slender; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : open grassy place to forest floor, seacoast to 2,500 m.
• 世界 : Japan and the Ryukyus.
